A dragon's disguise?
KampkraftKampkraft 1221625203|%e %b %Y, %H:%M %Z|agohover

I'm just wondering but does a dragon's human disguise have to necessarily reflect their gender and their age if they were a human. IE: Female adolescent dragon's disguise is a female and their disguise's age is about 13-18 in human years.

And can the human disguise be affected by Metamor's Curse?

Another one: If the above is true than what happens if the dragon's disguise is affected by the animal curse as a dragon? If this happens what would the dragon do? Does the dragon-morph have the same scales etc. as their "true" form? And would anyone think the now dragon-morph that the only reason that they can claim to be a dragon is because they happen to roll a twenty on the animal curse? :p

Wow, long time no reply.

Dragons are inherently magical beings. Those that have learned how to disguise themselves as humans would, effectively, have no limits to that disguise. They can be whatever age or race they desire at a whim (though it may take some time to change from one guise to another, except for a potently magical dragon specialized in shape shifting), though I am not sure if they can modify their gender similarly (your choice, magic has many disciplines with many different expressions and limits to expression).

Typically a dragon would assume a shape best able to 'blend in' as background… they're not likely to assume the form of a flamboyant noble or such unless that is their agenda (dark tyrant, for example?).

A natural dragon's disguise is mere appearance, it doesn't actually make them human or opposite gender, despite what it looks like. I bet if you took a DNA sample from a human-female-disguised male dragon, you'd find that it has all male dragon markers, not human or female. You can consider it to be a physical illusion (physically looks human rather than just appearing human via magical alteration of perceptions. I think Roscoe would be blind to illusions but would sense the disguised shape of the dragon. I'm not sure if it would smell or "taste" non-human to him.

DMFA has had discussions regarding shapeshifters' forms too and it was stated there that it's merely appearance, not functional form. Thus a TG shape-shift (not via the curse) wouldn't give the relevant ability to sire or bear children based on that shift. More significant magic would be required.

Keep in mind that I'm still only half way through the MK archives.
