Marcus has recently become a scout for Glen Avery. Even before he became musteline, he was one of the most troublesome kids, being a natural prankster who always had to be involved in whatever fun the grownups were doing. He always looked up to Garigan, even more so now that the ferret has returned. He is completely irrepresible in his enthusiasm, and has attempted on several occasions to out race the Avery twins in the trees, so far unsuccessfully. But he knows that if he races just one more time, he'll beat em. At least that is what he thinks!
