Herelath is the leader of the Kelewair chapter of the Lothanasi Order, which has jurisdiction over all of the Southern Midlands east of the Southbourne River. He is one of the oldest human members of the Lightbringers' High Council and is known as a cunning man skilled in the politics of religion. He is one of Alarun's strongest supporters on the Council, and Raven suspects him of taking part in a conspiracy instigated by the Daedra Lords, though as of Fall 707 CR she has no proof of this.
