Heraclitus was hatched on the great mountain that occupies the eastern face of Whales. He enjoys serving Whales as a courier Dragon, as it gives him an opportunity to see more of the world. Has occasionally ferried people back and forth as well, most notably Charles Matthias, rescuing the rat from Baron Garadan Calephas's army in the forests of Arabarb.
