Elliot is rather young for his time, but has adapated to his life as a rat. In his early days, he made money by letting Pascal perform experiemnts on him. One of these left him with a permanent red patch of fur on his right shoulder. He still lives in the cellars, but now makes his living as a thief. He never takes more than would be noticed.
